چکیده
We construct in ZFC a countably compact group without non-trivial convergent sequences of size 2c, answering question Bellini, Rodrigues and Tomita [4]. also selectively pseudocompact which is not pracompact, showing that these two properties are equivalent the class topological groups. Using same technique, we has all powers but assuming existence selective ultrafilter.

Zero-dimensionality of Some Pseudocompact Groups
We prove that hereditarily disconnected countably compact groups are zero-dimensional. This gives a strongly positive answer to a question of Shakhmatov. We show that hereditary or total disconnectedness yields zerodimensionality in various classes of pseudocompact groups.
متن کاملContinuous actions of pseudocompact groups and axioms of topological group
In this paper, we show that it is possible to extend the Ellis theorem, establishing the relations between axioms of a topological group on a new class N of spaces containing all countably compact spaces in the case of Abelian group structure. We extend statements of the Ellis theorem concerning separate and joint continuity of group inverse on the class of spaces N that gives some new examples...
متن کاملNon-Abelian Pseudocompact Groups
Here are three recently-established theorems from the literature. (A) (2006) Every non-metrizable compact abelian group K has 2|K|-many proper dense pseudocompact subgroups. (B) (2003) Every non-metrizable compact abelian group K admits 22 |K| -many strictly finer pseudocompact topological group refinements. (C) (2007) Every non-metrizable pseudocompact abelian group has a proper dense pseudoco...
متن کاملSome topological properties of quotients modulo semisimple algebraic groups
We will prove a general result in Invariant Theory, viz. for a quotientC==G, whereG is a connected complex semisimple algebraic group, the local first homology group at any point in the quotient C==G is trivial and the local second homology group is finite. Using this we will prove that the completion of the local ring of any point in C==G is a unique factorization domain (UFD). Mathematics Sub...
متن کاملCertain Topological Groups Are Type I
The purpose of this paper is to prove a theorem which roughly states that if G is a topological group with a "sufficiently large" Type I subgroup H, then G itself is also Type I. The main tool in the proof of this theorem is a result of Tomiyama [3] which gives a sufficient condition for a subalgebra of a Type I von Neumann algebra to be Type I. As far as the author knows, this result of Tomiya...
